How to Join the GRA?
The Game Retailers Association supports two types of membership. Those are:

Voting Members:

Voting membership is open to any business operating one or more physical store fronts currently engaged in the retail of non electronic games in a commercially zoned location and can show a a proper sales tax license (in all jurisdictions where sales tax licenses are required). Full membership will be granted after the Membership Director has reviewed the application and confirmed the member qualifications for Voting membership status. A jpg or PDF copy of your state sales tax certificate may be requested when reviewing your application. Full Voting members get voting rights on all major association events and elections, access to the GRA knowledge base plus all Benefits.. See note on membership dues.

Note on Membership Dues
Each year the GRA Board of Directors establishes the budget for the following year and decides what dues, if any, will be applicable to each membership tier. Due to little financial overhead and a need for the GRA to gain enough members to achieve a critical mass, for 2020 Associate Membership will be free and existing Voting Members will have their membership renewed for free. If you are joining the association and would like to join as a Voting Member, the dues for 2020 will be $75. If joining as a Voting Member, once your application has been approved, you will be initially added as an associate member and sent a Paypal payment request for $75 and when recieved, your status will be ugraded to Voting Member status.

Associate Members:

An Associate Membership is for any current retailer, brick and mortar or otherwise, interested in selling games or any person in the planning stages of opening a brick and mortar retail business that plans to sell games. Associate members do not get a vote on association level issues, but may get votes on issues the broader membership passes onto the associate tier in specific. Associate members get access to the GRA knowledge base and select membership Benefits. Associate membership dues for 2020 are Zero dollars.

Manufacturer Members

Manufacturer Membership is for game producers and distributors/wholesalers. This membership tier is mostly so that interested manufacturers can more directly engage with the GRA and its members. It is the GRA's intent to maintain a login for manufacturer members so they can keep their company and product information current for GRA members to access. Manufacturer members will be the GRA first point of contact for discussing inter-tier issues as they related to retailers and the industry at large. Manufacturer membership is free, but conveys no specific organization benefits.
